David Palmer (M.S.) teaches and trains young people and has done so for more years than he would care to admit in public. He holds bachelors and master’s degrees in education and puts them to good use, teaching the future leaders, both business and otherwise, of tomorrow. His classes present content in ways that engage students in the subject matter. Regardless of the topic, David integrates humor, collaboration, and competition into lessons. David also trains other local and regional educators in gamification, engagement, technology, and assessment.
In addition to teaching high school in Idaho, he found a district silly enough to pay him to coach esports (competitive video gaming). This is no small feat in the continually cash-strapped arena of public education. David's commitment to bringing in programs that serve his students' interests has led him on an exciting path of writing grants, collaborating with local and national companies, and promoting a little-known sport for his students. David’s most cherished job, however, is parent and husband. And, when he’s not fielding the persistent questions of his pre-school-aged children, he can be found reading, playing games, and traveling as often as possible.
