Dr Marigo Raftopoulos is a strategic business adviser specializing in innovation using games, gamification and experience design. She is the founder and CEO of Strategic Innovation Lab, and is also a adviser to several technology incubators and technology start-ups. She is also an advisor on the European Commission’s Advanced Digital Gaming and Gamification Program.
An Coppens is a leading expert in gamification for employee and learner engagement, with over 15 years experience in creating behaviour change through creative and innovative solutions. Jonathan Peters, Ph.D. is Chief Motivational Officer at Sententia Gamification. An international professional keynote speaker, trainer, author, and copywriter, he believes that change is inevitable adaption is vital, but success is optional. He works with those who pursue the option of success with the gamification of learning.
Bernardo Letayf developed BLUErabbit as an app to apply gamification in any learning environment after 5 years of trying such task without it. Today it’s working its way towards 150,000 users and his experience as a teacher using gamification has proven its worth.
Dr. Philipp Busch works for GIZ since October 2014. He obtained a Masters’ degree in Economics and Geography at the University of Mainz, then continued studying to do his second Masters’ degree in Information Systems and Business Administration. In spring 2018 he finished his doctoral thesis about "Gameful Approaches in Development Cooperation", now teaches Gamification and Agile Methods at the University of Mainz. Philipp works at GIZ for the Social Innovation Team in Cairo to improve the situation for youths in the labor market in Egypt. With a Master's Degree in Adult Education and Training, Chuck presents at numerous national and international conferences, including the 2016 International Conference on e-Learning, where he chaired a session entitled Dungeons, Dragons, and Dice - Using Storytelling and Gamification to Engage Learners. Jean is a pioneering problem solver. In her current role as Senior Learning Architect at Illumina Interactive, she works with the creative team to design learner experiences to create custom elearning programs. Jean has led the award-winning eLearning team at New England College of Business, where she continues to teach in the graduate programs. In 2016, she was honored to be named a Guild Master by the eLearning Guild. With a PhD in Adult Education, a Masters Degree in Online Instructional Design and a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, ATD’s highest credential... conference participants are sure to leave energized, with practical information and ideas they can leverage when they return to their job.
Valary Oleinik is one part artist and one part geek. She has an active inner child who still asks "why" one thousand times a day. She became a gamification advocate after spending years in the training sphere feeling that learners deserved better experiences. Valary has worked in both classroom and online environments, developing training for technical, creative, and professional skills. Roberto Alvarez is an international speaker and advocate for the use of gamification in education. He works at IE Business School, ranked #1 by the Financial Times for its Global MBA, where he leads the Publication of interactive (gamified) learning experiences as well as relations with other institutions regarding those experiences. The Host of the Professor Game Podcast, Roberto interviews successful practitioners of games, gamification and game thinking to bring his audience ideas, insights and inspiration to make learning experiences meaningful. Keith Lillico is an instructional designer at the Horace Mann Companies where he has been heavily involved in the development of over 125 courses in the past two years. He draws from his formal education and experience in instructional design as well as business to create learning content that focuses on meeting the needs of the learner while aligning it with enterprise-wide business objectives. As the founder of Lillico Learning, Keith works with clients to build training that is accessible to all learners including those who have disabilities. Keith, a certified Gamification Master Craftsman, combines game-design elements and principles with progressive views on learning theories to enhance traditional instructional design within the industry. Jim Egan is Professor of English at Brown University. He’s interested in the ways we tell and read stories in the digital age, the pedagogical opportunities to which the online world has given birth, and everything having to do with the 1974-75 Golden State Warriors. He was trained as a scholar of American literature before 1800, and he has published, among other works, Authorizing Experience: Refigurations of the Body Politic in Seventeenth-Century New England Writing (1999) and Oriental Shadows: The Presence of the East in Early American Literature (2011). Naomi Pariseault is an instructional designer for the School of Professional Studies at Brown University. As with many other instructional designers, it was a fortunate happenstance that Naomi stumbled into the field and has been happily inspiring student learning since 2011. She loves to experiment with new design approaches. Growing up Naomi loved playing classic video games and could be found playing Atari Asteroids with her dad or Super Mario 64 and Kirby with cousin. Hadiya Nuriddin has two decades of experience in instructional design and elearning development. After years in corporate learning, she founded her consulting firm, Focus Learning Solutions. She’s worked with a wide array of companies on a variety of topics, ranging from preventing international identity theft to beer brewing and bottling. Hadiya is the author of the book StoryTraining: Selecting and Shaping Stories That Connect and uses her knowledge of storytelling and writing to teach instructional designers how to create compelling characters for scenarios and games.

With 20+ years of experience in the field of technology and learning, he has created technology-enabled gamified learning components powered by a range of low-tech and hi-tech solutions. His background in computer science and expertise in the field of education has given him the opportunity to leverage technology in order to create fun, engaging, and rich learning experiences. Ahmed Hossam is The International Gamification Confederation (Gamfed) Ambassador in Egypt, he is a Keynote speaker, Consultant, Designer and Facilitator on Gamification. He is Currently the president of Gamification Egypt and the Founder of Gampact, the MENA region’s leading gamification consultancy. As global recognised specialists in gamification, Ahmed uses game design thinking and human behavioural psychology in order to change behaviour & create a business impact.
Gustavo Tondello is the co-founder and gamification specialist of MotiviUX, research leader at GamFed, and a PhD candidate and sessional lecturer at the University of Waterloo, Canada. With 10 years of experience in software engineering and business analysis, he is currently researching how to design and personalize gameful systems and learning experiences. He has published scientific articles on gamification and writes a popular blog on techniques for making everyday interactions more motivating. Gustavo uses gameful design methods to create participatory learning experiences, which help students practice what they are learning to further develop their skills in engaging ways.
