John Meehan is an English teacher and school instructional coach at Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia, and the author of EDrenaline Rush: Game-Changing Student Engagement Inspired by Amusement Parks, Mud Runs, and Escape Rooms. In March of 2019, he created the #EggDashChallenge - a classroom activity that became a viral video, racking up 75K+ views in less than one month’s time, and spawning hundreds of classroom videos in 40 US states, 6 Canadian provinces, and 8 countries. 


Meehan is a 2017 ASCD Emerging Leader and an alumnus of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Teacher Advisory Council. In 2016, he was named one of Arlington, VA’s “40 Under 40” by the Leadership Center for Excellence.

About 10 years ago a client asked Jimbo if he could run a training on "Out of the box thinking" for a Fortune 500 leadership team.  
He decided to take the phrase literally, and put boxes on the leaders heads, and has been boxing (and unboxing) heads ever since. He believes that creativity is the key to living a life of purpose and success while experiencing less tension and stress, and that while it may not be possible to think out of the box all the time, we can certainly think in a better box to achieve better results.
